The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme in Uttar Pradesh is filling Anganwadi Worker (Karyakatri) posts through separate district-level recruitment drives, each issued by that district's own District Program Officer via the departmental portal upanganwadibharti.in. This listing covers the 6 districts with an application window still open: Banda (122 posts), Jhansi (223 posts), Muzaffarnagar (146 posts), Maharajganj (164 posts), Azamgarh (66 posts) and Chitrakoot (23 posts) — a combined 744 posts. Several other districts (Bareilly, Sonbhadra, Etawah, Ambedkar Nagar, Kushinagar and others) have already closed their application windows and are not included here. This post is open to female candidates only, who must be a resident of the specific Gram Sabha/Ward (or its Nyaya Panchayat) the vacancy belongs to. Candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th); a merit list is prepared using marks from Intermediate up to Post Graduate level where applicable. There is no written examination or interview — selection follows a merit list with priority given to below-poverty-line widows, divorced/abandoned women and destitute women in that order, before other eligible candidates, as per Uttar Pradesh's Anganwadi recruitment rules.
