The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has declared the result of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 for both Paper I (Primary Level) and Paper II (Upper Primary Level) on 26 August 2026. The examination was conducted in offline OMR mode across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh from 2 to 4 July 2026. Around 13.30 lakh candidates have qualified across both papers. In Paper I, 5,71,435 candidates passed out of 7,13,648 who appeared — a pass percentage of 80.07%. In Paper II, 7,59,513 candidates qualified out of 10,57,021 who appeared — a pass percentage of 71.85%. The qualifying mark is 60% (90 out of 150) for General category candidates and 55% (82 out of 150) for SC, ST, OBC and PwD category candidates. Candidates who qualify UPTET receive a certificate with lifetime validity, which is a mandatory eligibility requirement for applying to UP government teacher recruitment drives, including the upcoming Super TET examination for recruitment of teachers in UP government schools.
